Some times things just go bad.  I had added some weathering to the 2 GE CSX locomotives and posted photos on a weathering site for comment.  Suggestions were made and in an attempt to implement, the finish was ruined on both locomotives.  They had to be disassembled, stripped, repainted and re-weathered.  My fault.  I should have not attempted the modifications due to the way I had finished them.
